Position Overview
The Company Doctor is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of all members of J&F Foods. The role involves providing medical consultation, health education, and guidance on occupational health standards to ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment, in compliance with labor and regulatory requirements in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical consultations, treatment, and first aid to members for work-related and non-work-related health concerns, including but not limited to:
- Conduct pre-employment, annual, and return-to-work medical examinations.
- Assess fitness-to-work and recommend necessary work restrictions or adjustments for member consultation on sickness leaves
- Provide medical reports and recommendations to management when necessary.
- Manage Company clinic operations in relation to, but not limited to, the following:
- Maintain the company clinic, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Develop and implement occupational health programs, including disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness initiatives,
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee medical records in compliance with data privacy regulations
- Lead and develop the company's healthcare team, including performance management, training, and professional development of company nurses.
- Collaborate with HR, Safety, and Security teams on employee health, wellness, and safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with DOLE and other regulatory health requirements for workplaces.
- Advise management on occupational health standards, workplace safety, and health-related policies.
Education
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

Other Requirements
- License: Must be a duly licensed Physician in the Philippines (valid PRC license).
- Training/Certification:
- Having post-graduate training in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related field is an advantage.
- Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training for Physicians is preferred (or willingness to undergo upon hiring).
- Full-time, available on call
- Duty must overlap with the morning and evening nurse.
- At least 13 years of clinical practice; experience in an occupational health/industrial setting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with DOLE, DOH, and other government-mandated health programs is an asset.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge in handling workplace injuries, medical emergencies, and preventive health programs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to deal with employees at all levels.
- Strong record-keeping and report-writing ability.
- Must be ethical, compassionate, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Willing to work onsite/visit company premises regularly as required.
