Job Description

Role Overview

The Community Lead is the face of Ripple Wanders on-ground. You are responsible for creating a safe, smooth, and memorable experience for every trip. This role combines coordination, hosting, and community-building so participants feel welcomed, engaged, and taken care of throughout the journey.

What You'll Do

1. Trip Facilitation & Coordination

  • Lead the group from assembly to end of trip
  • Ensure itinerary flow is followed including timings, transitions, and activities
  • Coordinate with guides, drivers, and partners on-ground
  • Handle registrations, headcount, and attendance

2. Community Experience

  • Welcome participants and set the tone for the trip
  • Engage solo joiners and help them feel included
  • Facilitate light interactions such as introductions or icebreakers
  • Build a friendly, respectful, and safe group environment

3. On-Ground Problem Solving

  • Manage minor issues such as delays, participant concerns, or changes in plan
  • Make quick decisions while aligning with Ripple Wanders standards
  • Escalate major concerns when needed

4. Safety & Accountability

  • Ensure participants follow safety guidelines
  • Monitor group pacing especially for hikes and adventure activities
  • Stay alert to health or emergency situations

5. Brand Representation

  • Act as a Ripple Wanders ambassador
  • Uphold a warm, inclusive, and adventurous tone
  • Capture moments through photos or videos when possible

What We're Looking For

  • Strong people skills and naturally approachable
  • Organized and reliable under pressure
  • Comfortable leading groups and speaking in front of people
  • Passion for travel, nature, and community-building
  • Calm and resourceful in unpredictable situations
  • Experience in outdoor events, tours, hiking, or facilitation is a plus

Nice To Have

  • First aid training such as Philippine Red Cross certification
  • Experience hosting or organizing group trips or events
  • Basic outdoor or hiking familiarity

What Success Looks Like

  • Participants feel welcomed, safe, and connected
  • Trips run smoothly even when things do not go as planned
  • Solo joiners feel included
  • People leave saying, That was more than just a trip.
