Job Description

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for facilities services, utilities, infrastructure, and indirect spend categories.
  • Lead procurement activities for services such as facilities maintenance, security, janitorial, utilities, and site infrastructure.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level commitments to maximize value and minimize cost.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through supplier consolidation, contract optimization, and standardization programs.
  • Implement and maintain cost-tracking mechanisms to improve spend visibility and forecasting accuracy.
  • Partner with facilities and operations teams to support site expansions, new facilities, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Lead energy efficiency and utility cost reduction initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance against quality, service, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Conduct supplier reviews, scorecards, and performance improvement programs.
  • Assess market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain and operational risks through proactive supplier management.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, Quality, and Facilities stakeholders on procurement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement governance, approval processes, and sourcing policies.
  • Analyze spend data and develop recommendations to improve procurement effectiveness and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commodity Manager should have:

  • A degree in a related field such as Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.7+ years of experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
  • Strong experience managing facilities services, utilities, infrastructure, real estate, or MRO-related spend categories.
  • Proven track record delivering measurable cost savings through sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience managing large service contracts and indirect spend portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of facilities operations, utility agreements, and infrastructure-related procurement.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic supplier partnerships and manage supplier performance.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and contract negotiation expertise.
  • Experience conducting spend analysis and identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of procurement governance, supplier compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement systems.
