A growing food and bakery company is looking for a highly organized and hands-on Commissary Manager to oversee daily commissary operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient food production, inventory management, quality control, and timely distribution to store branches while maintaining food safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily commissary operations, including production, preparation, dispatch, and inventory.
- Ensure products are prepared according to company standards, recipes, quality, and food safety requirements.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with branches or departments regarding supply requirements and delivery timelines.
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and supplies to avoid shortages and minimize wastage.
- Implement and maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Supervise and support commissary staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and ingredients.
- Prepare operational reports related to production, inventory, and commissary performance.
- Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government food safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Technology, Hospitality Management, Business Management, or any related field is an advantage.
- Proven experience in commissary, kitchen, bakery, food manufacturing, or related operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control, food safety, and production operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or basic reporting systems.
