Our client is committed to producing high-quality, safe, and globally trusted coconut-based products, and is currently looking for a Commercial Planning & Pricing Specialist to support their sales teams.
As the Commercial Planning & Pricing Specialist, you will be the financial brain behind the sales team. You will ensure that every coconut-based sold to US food manufacturers is priced for maximum profit, backed by accurate Philippine production costs, and aligned with our 12-month sales forecast.
You will bridge the gap between what it costs to make and what the market will pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide live support to the US Sales Team, requiring working late shifts from 8PM to Midnight Manila time at least twice a week to align with US hours
- Give recommendations for competitive and premium product costing, factoring in logistics costs, production cost fluctuations, competitor pricing, and market trends
- Establish a dynamic pricing system for US bids, leveraging digital tools and Artificial Intelligence
- Advise and monitor client bids and contracts, factoring in specialized packaging, shipping, and US customs duties, and serve as final approval for non-standard contract terms requested by sales representatives
- Collaborate with the Sales team to analyze market prices and historical sales data to determine where the company stands to make the most profit, and minimize slow-moving inventory and at-risk revenue
- Provide boots on the ground insights on production developments in the Philippines regarding crop yields and local weather impacts
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5–8 years in a manufacturing-heavy pricing or commercial finance role.
- Expertise:
- Forecasting: Proficiency in time-series analysis or using AI-forecasting tools.
- Costing: Deep understanding of Activity-Based Costing (ABC).
- Software: Expert Excel/Google Sheets user; experience with ERPs (SAP, NetSuite) and CRM (Salesforce).
