Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to support business performance through financial planning, analysis, and commercial partnering. This role will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), and other cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, profitability analysis, forecasting, and decision support that drive sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, business partnering capabilities, and hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, preferably within the FMCG industry.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial databases and reporting systems to support business analysis and decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver timely management reports, dashboards, and performance analyses covering sales, profitability, budgets, forecasts, and prior-year comparisons.
  • Perform month-end closing activities and ensure accuracy of financial information.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis of actual results against budgets, forecasts, and historical performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
  • Monitor business performance against financial targets and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist management in evaluating financial implications of strategic initiatives and commercial decisions.

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and RGM teams to provide financial guidance and support business growth initiatives.
  • Develop financial models and simulations to evaluate:
  • New product launches
  • Existing product profitability
  • Customer profitability
  • Pricing and promotional strategies
  • Commercial investment effectiveness
  • Provide financial expertise and support for business cases, investment evaluations, and ad hoc projects.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, Sales, Marketing, RGM, and IT to ensure alignment of business objectives and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a management information resource by supporting stakeholders with relevant business and financial insights.
  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion compliance with company policies, financial controls, and governance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, systems, and operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent), or
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Commercial Finance, or Business Finance is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and profitability analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with financial modelling and data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
