Job Title: Commercial Director – Microfinance / Field Operations Leadership

We are looking for a hands-on, high-impact Commercial Director who will be able to work with a rapidly growing microfinance institution.
This is not a traditional corporate, air-conditioned desk job. This role is designed for a battle-tested microfinance leader who thrives in rural field operations, believes in house-to-house community engagement, and knows how to lead large-scale field sales and collections teams from the front.

What You'll Do
- Lead from the Front: Spend 5 days in the field and 1 day in the office overseeing nationwide route operations, house-to-house client visits, loan origination, and collections.
- Scale the Organization: Provide strategic commercial leadership as the field sales force expands toward 1,000+ employees over the next four years.
- Drive Business Performance: Develop and execute regional/national sales strategies, market expansion plans, and portfolio growth while protecting portfolio quality and mitigating fraud.
- Develop Field Leaders: Directly mentor and hold regional field managers accountable, fostering a culture of ownership, discipline, and high performance.
Who We Are Looking For
- Proven Traditional Microfinance & Field Experience: Must have direct operational, lending, and collections leadership experience within established traditional microfinance institutions or micro-lending networks, such as:
- ASA Philippines
- PAG-ASA Social Development
- CARD MRI
- GABAY PUHUNAN / One Puhunan
- Or similar traditional field-based microfinance and community lending organizations.
- Hands-on Route & Field Operations Mindset: Deeply comfortable operating in rural locations, navigating non-urban route setups, and conducting direct house-to-house field visits alongside local teams (sanay sa di-naka-aircon field environments).
- Leadership Scale: Demonstrated success managing geographically dispersed, large-scale field commercial organizations.
- Career Readiness: Currently operating as an experienced Senior Operations Manager, Commercial Manager, or Regional Head within microfinance ready to make the strategic step up to Commercial Director.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be able and willing to travel extensively across regional operations nationwide.
