Reviews the spreadsheets, risk rating and RAAC sheets prepared by the Risk Officers in accordance with the approved Risk Rating System of the Bank.
Ensures the accurate interpretation of financial statement data and coordinates with the credit risk officers and account officers if there is a need for clarification.
Endorses the assignment of credit risk ratings for each Commercial Banking account prior to presentation to the approving committee.
Coordinates with the Business unit and various support units
Supervises and oversees the preparation of Commercial Banking credit reports (e.g. Interim Review / SICR Reports)
Maintains the database of credit rating output: rating histories on individual accounts including credit ratings and dates the ratings were assigned, date of financial statements, type of credit facility and details of collateral for purposes of default analysis.
Assists the CRO/Unit Head in special projects as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years work experience in credit risk analysis and / or relevant banking experience
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with good credit risk skills and expertise in financial ratio analysis.
Mastery of the credit risk rating systems of the bank: financial spreading, RAAC, and credit scoring models.
Strong analytical ability and creative problem-solving skills.
Sufficient written and oral communication skills.
Can interface with all levels in the organization as well as with the Bank's clients.
Ability to function well individually and as part of the team.
Can manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
