Job Description

Position Overview:

The Commercial Manager/Assistant Manager - Finance will lead financial operations ensuring robust commercial controls, financial planning, vendor management, and contract negotiations. This role requires strategic oversight of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost optimization to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the group or business units.
  • Analyze financial performance and commercial terms to provide actionable insights for senior management.
  • Review, negotiate, and approve commercial contracts including vendor and supplier agreements, ensuring favorable financial terms.
  • Manage vendor billing, payments, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to develop pricing strategies and improve margin performance.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
  • Ensure financial compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and special projects with detailed financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Lead and mentor finance teams across multiple locations to standardize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare and present commercial financial reports and dashboards to the executive team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or finance certification (CPA/CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, financial management, or related roles.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong experience with vendor relations, billing, and contract management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multi-location teams and manage diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or multi-sector conglomerates.
  • Knowledge of local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and international compliance.
  • Leadership experience managing finance teams and cross-functional collaborations.
