The Criminology Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and fostering an engaging learning environment for students. The role includes preparing instructional materials, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and participating in academic and administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver lectures in criminology and related subjects.
  • Develop course syllabi, lesson plans, and other instructional materials.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions, seminars, and other learning activities.
  • Design, administer, and evaluate quizzes, examinations, and other student assessments.
  • Monitor and evaluate student academic performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and submit required reports on time.
  • Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and other institutional activities.
  • Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the department or institution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminology.
  • Registered Criminologist (RCrim)
  • Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice.
  • At least two (2) years of teaching experience and/or relevant professional training in the field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of criminological theories and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach, mentor, and engage students in a higher education setting.
