Job Summary
The Collection Strategy & Analytics Analyst is responsible for developing, monitoring, and optimizing collection strategies to improve portfolio performance and maximize recoveries. This role partners closely with Collections Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze performance, generate actionable insights, and implement data-driven strategies that enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze key Collections performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports, insights, and actionable recommendations to management.
- Partner closely with the Collections Operations team to ensure strategic initiatives are effectively translated into operational execution.
- Develop, evaluate, and continuously optimize collection strategies using data analysis, portfolio performance, and business feedback.
- Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and controlled experiments to identify the most effective collection treatments and recovery strategies.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve collection performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Support the implementation of new collection programs, products, policies, and process enhancements by providing analytical insights and post-implementation performance monitoring.
- Perform portfolio segmentation and behavioral analysis to recommend targeted collection strategies for different customer groups.
- Collaborate with Risk, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to support strategic initiatives and system enhancements.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of reports and analytical outputs.
- Stay informed of industry best practices, emerging analytics techniques, and regulatory developments related to collections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Collections Strategy, Collections Analytics, Risk Analytics, Credit Risk, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Proficiency in one or more analytical tools such as SQL, Python, SAS, or R.
- Experience working with collection management systems, dialers, decision engines, or customer segmentation tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, statistical analysis, and performance measurement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a high level of accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
