Role Description The Collection Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. This position is responsible for supporting the collections team in monitoring outstanding accounts, coordinating with branches regarding payments, and updating collection records in company systems. Daily tasks include preparing collection reports, tracking due and overdue premiums, following up with clients through phone and email, and assisting in resolving billing or payment issues. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues in finance, customer service, and underwriting to ensure accurate documentation, timely posting of payments, and adherence to company policies. The Collection Assistant helps maintain orderly files and contributes to meeting collection targets and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or general accounting support, preferably in financial services or insurance.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email) and familiarity with data entry or billing systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines accurately.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and internal teams in a professional, courteous manner.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive payment and account issues with discretion and sound judgment.
- Ability to work on-site in Makati, collaborate in a team setting, and adapt to established procedures and performance goals.
- High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in an insurance or banking environment and knowledge of basic collection practices are beneficial.
