Position: Cold Caller

Location: Remote

Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, US Eastern Time Zone

Salary: $2,000 USD per month ($1,000 base salary and $1,000 OTE)

Job Type: Independent Contractor (freelance setup; no company benefits)

We are seeking a driven, articulate, and highly organized Cold Caller to support our deal origination efforts. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a sales-oriented mindset, and a basic understanding of M&A who thrives on building relationships from the first point of contact. You will be the first touchpoint with potential sellers, responsible for sourcing, engaging, and qualifying leads before passing them to senior bankers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source potential acquisition targets in essential service industries through research, databases, and outreach tools.
  • Conduct outbound cold calls to business owners, executives, and decision-makers.
  • Deliver a clear and compelling initial pitch that explains who we are and how we help.
  • Prequalify leads by gathering key information on company size, services, ownership structure, and interest in exploring a sale.
  • Schedule follow-up calls or meetings for the M&A team with qualified leads.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities, conversations, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Track and report progress regularly to the deal origination team.
  • Continuously refine outreach strategy based on feedback and results.

Requirements

  • Native-level or flawless American English communication skills (spoken and written) required.
  • Candidates are required to submit a 30-second audio recording to introduce themselves. We are looking for candidates with a native-level American accent and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in cold calling, lead generation, inside sales, or business development.
  • Strong phone presence with the ability to confidently engage with business owners and executives.
  • Knowledge of essential services industries (e.g., HVAC, roofing, plumbing, landscaping, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with M&A concepts, deal flow, and acquisition processes preferred (training provided).
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and CRM discipline.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
