Job Responsibilities:
What will you do
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Analyzing requirements and perform technical model design of semantic layer for BI tools
- Developing IBM Cognos data sets, data modules, reports and dashboards/visualizations
- Being a technical advisor for production issues
- Optimize data objects performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Supporting IT audits with documentation/proofs/run through the code base
Your key responsibilities are:
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, jobs, schedules and data models using IBM Cognos Analytics.
- Collaborate with business users to gather and analyse data reporting requirements.
- Optimize data object performance and ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing Cognos data modules, reports and dashboards including Cognos administration.
- Manage and maintain the Cognos Framework Manager packages.
- Experience in MotioCI to deploy the Cognos objects is a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle databases and logical data models, prior knowledge of data modelling is a plus.
- Communicating with the stakeholders to analyse and understand the need and design the solution accordingly
- Supporting other squad members whenever needed with your experience and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or any related field.
- Must have at least 6+ years of data engineering experience.
- Proficient in IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework Manager).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to Functional and non-functional testing
- Good knowledge in data modelling in relational databases
- Must be amenable to work on a mid-shift schedule (1:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM)
- Must be amenable to work in the office at least 2-3x a week (BGC, Taguig).
Nice to have:
- Experience in LoanIQ application and its data model
- Experience in Lending business
- Certification on IBM Cognos analytics
- Experience in a complex, corporate environment
- Track record in building larger corporate systems
- Linux (bash) scripting capabilities
- Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c or higher
- Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Git, Ansible
- Issue trackers like ServiceNow or Azure Boards
