Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results.
Analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Influence business partners and service providers regarding priorities, hardware/software selection and/or vendor selection.
Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services, etc.
Identify and document business strategies, objectives and drivers.
Conduct code changes and unit testing for simple to medium system modules. Understand the business requirements and relate them to the technical specifications provided by SAs for systems development projects.
Prepare design and program specifications for simple to minor requirements.
Understand the business requirements to do the needed code changes based on design specifications provided
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or any related field.
Must have at least 6 years of technical/development experience in Cobol and DB2
Good knowledge of relevant business, processes, systems and capabilities
Must be amenable to work on a day shift schedule
Must be amenable to work in the office 5x a week (Makati City).
