Purpose:
The role holder will be accountable for all non-academic facets of school management across the brands campuses. The primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of all schools, overseeing administrative duties including infrastructure to ensure a safe environment as well as to plan, forecast and budget in accordance with business objectives.
Role and responsibilities:
- Own the overall business and operational performance of a cluster of schools, with accountability for revenue, cost management, parent satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Drive timely collection of school and transport fees, ensuring minimal outstanding dues and strong cash flow management.
- Manage revenue generation from uniform sales and oversee Centres of Excellence as additional revenue streams.
- Monitor budgets, track expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Track manpower budgets and optimize staffing costs while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Review, negotiate, and manage transportation contracts to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness.
- Oversee operating expenses including utilities, housekeeping, security, repairs, maintenance, furniture, and uniform procurement.
- Ensure school infrastructure is maintained to high standards through regular inspections and timely completion of maintenance projects within budget.
- Collaborate with Safety and Projects teams to ensure compliance, security standards, and successful execution of infrastructure initiatives.
- Act as the primary escalation point for parents on all operations-related concerns and drive resolution to enhance parent satisfaction.
- Maintain and improve service quality across all non-academic operational functions.
- Prepare and present budget plans, expenditure reports, operational updates, and project status reports to management.
- Serve as the custodian of operational SOPs, policies, manuals, and process documentation.
- Lead vendor management initiatives, including contract standardization, vendor consolidation, cost optimization, and commercial negotiations.
- Manage and mentor School Administration Managers to ensure smooth day-to-day school operations.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, track project progress, and ensure timely delivery of operational objectives.
- Build and nurture a high-performance, accountability-driven team culture across the operations function.
Qualification
- MBA in Finance, Marketing, or Operations (preferred).
- 8–10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in the education industry.
- Strong experience in P&L management, budgeting, operations, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
- Candidates from education, telecom, insurance, retail, or IT training sectors will be preferred.
