We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineering Team Lead to design, build, and support secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud platforms. This role combines hands-on cloud engineering with team leadership, driving platform reliability, automation, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Cloud Platform Engineers.
- Manage workload prioritization, delivery timelines, and technical escalations.
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and related DevOps tools.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Ensure platform security, resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align platform initiatives with business objectives.
- Promote engineering best practices, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of Cloud Engineering experience with strong AWS expertise.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong knowledge of AWS networking, security, and cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience with:
- AWS services: EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, CloudWatch, S3, EBS, EKS, AWS Backup, Systems Manager, and Elastic Disaster Recovery.
- CI/CD and DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Git, Nexus, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with Windows Server, Amazon Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience implementing disaster recovery, business continuity, and cloud security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience with Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (e.g., Wiz, Prisma Cloud).
- Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments.
