Role Description The Cloud Operations Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure supporting the bank's applications and services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring cloud environments, deploying and maintaining infrastructure components, troubleshooting incidents, automating operational processes, and collaborating with development and IT teams to support new and existing services. The Cloud Operations Engineer will also assist in capacity planning, implement best practices for backup and disaster recovery, and ensure compliance with banking and security standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, with experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in Linux administration, including system configuration, monitoring, and shell scripting.
- Experience working with Databases, including setup, tuning, backup, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Exposure to Software Development practices or tools, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams on deployments and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a regulated financial services environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site in Makati.
