As a Cloud Migration Engineer, a typical day involves evaluating current systems and infrastructure to determine the best approach for transitioning to cloud environments. This role includes planning and executing the migration of applications and data, ensuring that solutions are scalable and perform efficiently. The position requires coordinating with various stakeholders to align migration strategies with business goals, while continuously monitoring progress and addressing any challenges that arise during the migration process. The engineer plays a key role in enabling organizations to leverage both private and public cloud technologies to achieve advanced business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud migration strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team to enhance overall migration capabilities.
- Monitor migration progress and proactively identify risks or issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Python (Programming Language).
- Experience with cloud platforms and services to support migration activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and develop effective migration plans.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline migration processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Understanding of network architecture and security considerations in cloud environments.
