Cloud Engineer - Delivery Manager

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong DevOps skills across AWS and Azure to support a large-scale Global Capital Markets platform-modernization program. The role focuses on building and operating secure, scalable cloud environments that underpin the stabilization of Front Office Trading systems and the build-out of target-state capabilities across event-driven integration, data-lake / Databricks platforms, reporting, migration and the front-to-back trade lifecycle for FX Cash, Cleared IRS and future product onboarding. The ideal candidate is hands-on with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and cloud security, and partners closely with application, data, DevOps and architecture teams to deliver production-ready environments in a complex capital-markets setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and configure cloud environments across AWS and Azure — networking, access controls
  
  

and standardized deployment patterns.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD Pipeline, Helm charts and infrastructure-as-code
  
  

(Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM / Bicep) to automate environment provisioning and releases.

• Support data-platform, integration and application-hosting requirements, including Databricks,
  
  

container and API hosting.

• Implement monitoring, logging, resilience and security controls, embedding cloud-security best
  
  

practice (IAM, secrets management, encryption).

• Support containerization and orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes) and maintain environment
  
  

consistency across development, test and production.

• Partner with application, data, DevOps and architecture teams on environment readiness, disaster
  
  

recovery and operational resilience.

• Contribute to cost optimization, capacity planning and continuous improvement of the cloud estate.
  
  

Key competencies

• Bachelor's / Master's degree with 8+ years in cloud / DevOps engineering, with hands-on production
  
  

experience across both AWS and Azure.

• Strong DevOps toolchain skills — CI/CD (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / Jenkins, Helm Charts,
  
  

ArgoCD), Git branching strategies and release automation.

• Infrastructure-as-code expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM / Bicep) and containers /
  
  

orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Solid grounding in cloud networking, IAM, security controls and monitoring / observability tooling.
• Scripting proficiency (Python / Bash / PowerShell) and strong Linux fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills across engineering teams, with
  
  

attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer; Azure Administrator
  
  

/ DevOps Engineer Expert).

• Experience with data platforms (Databricks) and event-driven / streaming architecture (Kafka / MQ).
• Prior experience in Capital Markets or financial services and regulated, security-controlled
  
  

environments.
