Cloud DevOps Architect

The Cloud DevOps Architect is responsible for the assessment, design, and engineering of DevOps solutions in complex technology environments. Design and build DevOps technical solutions for cloud-native, cloud-enabled, and on-prem infrastructure with microservices or traditional application patterns. The DevOps Architect also designs and implements DevOps strategies to streamline software development and deployment processes, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams. They focus on creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring robust system reliability and security.

General Responsibilities

•Assess, design, and implement DevOps solutions in complex and dynamic technology environments.

•Develop DevOps architectures for cloud-native, cloud-enabled, microservices-based, or traditional application models.

•Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in DevOps, providing guidance on tools, best practices, and methodologies.

•Lead and manage the DevOps team to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

•Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance the DevOps process and infrastructure.

•Perform the functions and responsibilities of the Cloud Administration Development Manager when the position is vacant.

Design and Implementation

•Develop and implement DevOps strategies, frameworks, and tools to optimize software development and deployment pipelines.

CI/CD Pipelines

•Create, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the software release process.

Infrastructure Automation

•Design and implement solutions for automating infrastructure provisioning and management, ensuring efficient and scalable environments.

Monitoring and Logging

•Implement robust monitoring and logging systems to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure system reliability.

System Reliability and Security

•Ensure that systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

Best Practices and Mentoring

•Advocate for DevOps methodologies and best practices to improve team collaboration, productivity, and efficiency.

•Mentor team members on DevOps principles and practices, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
