- Implement synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Configure tracking, fault handling, and retries.
Architecture & Standards (Architect Focus)
- Define OIC integration architecture and reference patterns.
- Establish integration standards, governance, and reuse models.
- Design scalable integration landscapes aligned to Oracle cloud strategy.
- Review and govern solution designs across projects.
- Ensure alignment with security, identity, and enterprise integration principles.
Operations, Monitoring & Support
- Configure monitoring, alerts, and business activity tracking.
- Support environment management, deployments, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot complex integration and performance issues.
- Contribute to operational documentation and support runbooks.
Collaboration & Advisory
- Collaborate with Oracle functional teams, IT, and enterprise architects.
- Advise stakeholders on OIC capabilities, design choices, and trade-offs.
- Mentor junior consultants and developers (Senior / Architect level).

- Experience integrating Oracle SaaS and non-Oracle applications.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP services, adapters, and orchestration patterns.
- Understanding of Oracle cloud security and integration design principles.
- Familiarity with event-driven and API-based integration approaches.
Experience (Role Level Determination)
OIC Integration Architect
- 10–14+ years of overall IT experience.
- 7–10+ years of Oracle integration and solution architecture experience.
- Proven experience defining Oracle integration strategies in enterprise environments.
OIC Integration Consultant
- 6–8 years of overall IT experience.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud.
- Strong focus on integration delivery and implementation.
Competencies
- Systems thinking for complex integrations navigating complicated to complex programmes, adapts delivery approach (agile/waterfall/hybrid) and making sound decisions with potentially incomplete information.
- Delivery governance and assurance applying robust governance, quality management and change control to protect outcomes, minimising rework and manage downstream impacts.
- Stakeholder and vendor management coordinating multiple parties (client, vendors and internal streams) to maintain alignment to scope, milestones and technical standards.
- Commercial and requirements discipline clarifying scope boundaries, assumptions, dependencies and Customer Furnished Items (CFIs); maintaining requirements traceability and clear definition of done.
- Architecture-to-execution alignment translating vision into build-ready solution designs and practical build instructions (interfaces, data flows, controls, environments, sequencing).
- Secure-by-design mindset embedding security, privacy and access controls into integration design and delivery from day one.
- Reusable patterns and accelerators leveraging reference architectures, standards and proven assets to increase velocity and consistency.
- Operational readiness designing for run (monitoring, support model, runbooks, auditability) to ensure stable operation post go-live.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Oracle Integration Cloud Certification.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certifications (highly desirable).
- Oracle Solution Architecture certifications (Architect level – desirable).
