We are seeking a highly motivated and client-focused
Client Manager – Medical Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)to serve as the primary point of contact between our organization and assigned healthcare clients. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring operational excellence, monitoring revenue cycle performance, resolving issues, and driving client satisfaction and retention.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in medical billing and revenue cycle operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both healthcare clients and internal operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison for assigned healthcare clients.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Conduct regular client meetings, business reviews, and performance discussions.
- Understand client needs and recommend appropriate RCM solutions and process improvements.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and support client retention initiatives.
Revenue Cycle Oversight
Monitor And Review Key Revenue Cycle Metrics, Including
- Days in Accounts Receivable (A/R)
- First-Pass Resolution Rate
- Clean Claim Rate
- Denial Rate
- Net Collection Rate
- Aging Reports
Additional Responsibilities Include
- Reviewing financial and operational performance reports with clients.
- Identifying opportunities to improve collections and reduce claim denials.
- Partnering with operational teams to achieve client KPIs and financial goals.
Issue Resolution & Escalation Management
- Address client concerns and resolve service-related issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with billing, coding, payment posting, denial management, and credentialing teams.
- Escalate complex issues to senior leadership when necessary.
- Implement corrective action plans and monitor outcomes through resolution.
Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Track project milestones, implementation activities, and client requests.
- Ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.
- Support onboarding and transition activities for new clients.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly performance reports.
- Analyze revenue cycle trends and identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client communications, meetings, and projects.
Business Development Support
- Identify opportunities for account growth and additional services.
- Assist with contract renewals and client retention strategies.
- Support proposal development and client presentations.
- Partner with sales and leadership teams during account expansion discussions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–7+ years of experience in Medical Billing, Revenue Cycle Management, Healthcare Operations, or Client Account Management.
- Strong understanding of:
- Medical billing workflows
- ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts
- Claims submission and payment posting
- Denial management and A/R follow-up
- Healthcare payer regulations and reimbursement processes
- Experience working with physician practices, hospitals, or healthcare organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and reporting tools.
- Experience in a healthcare outsourcing or RCM service organization.
- Professional certifications such as:
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative)
- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR and Practice Management systems.
