CLIENT ACCOUNTANT (AU)

Key Responsibilities

• Providing end-to-end financial and management accounting support to clients and internal entities
• Acting as point of contact for your portfolio of clients.
• Preparation of client annual financial reports (IFRS).
• Assistance with preparation and lodgment of BAS/IAS, FBT and Income Tax Returns.
• Preparation of budgets and financial reports.
• Providing payroll services to clients including Workers Insurance registrations, Payroll Tax and STP reporting.

Essential Requirements and Key Selection Criteria

• An accounting degree and membership of a recognized accounting body (or studying towards membership).
• At least 4 years experience in a senior role responsible for corporate financial management.
• Extensive experience in the provision of end-to-end financial management and accounting services, including preparation of financial statements, cash flow reports, and statutory financial accounts.
• Experience with treasury management.
• A high level of computer literacy and experience with cloud-based software solutions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other MS Office applications.
• A friendly personality with a high attention to customer service.
• Strong organizational skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, plan workload, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• High level written communication skills; ability to prepare, review and edit correspondence and reports in an appropriate style.
• A high level of attention to detail and a diligent nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, unsupervised and independent capacity.
• A willingness to think laterally in the approach to problems that arise, developing creative solutions to problems instead of applying the time-worn solution.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience preparing and lodging BAS and IAS statements.
• Experience with payroll management.
• Advanced knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel.
