Job Description

The position is primarily responsible for overseeing the insurance claims department of the brokerage to ensure that a client's claims are verified and settled according to the committed turn-around time. The position is also responsible for negotiating with business partners, insurers, or adjusters relative to claim concerns in general. It gives further recommendation to higher management on better claims processes and servicing insurers, including cash assistance for denied claims as humanitarian support.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in insurance claims evaluation, analyses, management and leadership
  • Spearheads meeting with insurers to elevate claims concerns especially on prescribed amount of settlement, claims turn-around time, among others.
  • Reviews claim transmittals evaluated and endorsed by Claims Section Head.
  • Supports recommendation to investigate doubtful claims.
  • Negotiates with insurance partners and adjusters any insurance claim with valid concern.
  • Approves recommendation for financial assistance on denied claims.
  • Manages complex claims and provides recommendation to resolve the issue.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any four (4) year college course. Preferably with any post-graduate course and/or knowledge on legal laws
  • At least (8) years of work experience in a life, non-life, and micro-insurance industry preferably in claims management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Tech-savvy and data-driven
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Flexible
