Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the civil design team in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for site development, grading, earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and water/sewer utility systems.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate civil engineers and designers, fostering an internal culture of initiative, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Provide advanced technical guidance to resolve complex design challenges and promote knowledge-sharing through targeted workshops and technical training.
- Review and approve civil design computations, detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Enforce strict internal design quality checks, peer reviews, risk assessments, and QA/QC procedures aligned with ISO standards.
- Ensure all designs comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as local and international codes (e.g., DPWH, HLURB, NEDA, AASHTO, ASTM).
- Participate in project bidding, resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and value engineering to optimize lifecycle costs.
- Monitor engineering timelines and deliverables, providing dedicated design support throughout the construction phases.
- Support and drive the team's adoption of advanced digital design tools, including BIM workflows, Civil 3D, GIS integration, and specialized hydraulic modeling software.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders (architects, developers, contractors, and clients) to ensure seamless project alignment and delivery.
- Represent the company at design coordination meetings and lead technical discussions with clients.
- Oversee the accurate preparation and timely submission of civil engineering documentation for regulatory permits and approvals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Required). Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or Water Resources is a strong advantage.
- PRC Licensed Civil Engineer (Required). ASEAN Engineer or international certification is a plus.
- Active membership in recognized professional organizations (e.g., PICE, ASCE, APWA).
- Minimum of 10 years of robust experience in civil works design.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role leading engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering large-scale land development, infrastructure, or utility planning projects.
- Deep expertise in site development, earthworks optimization, stormwater management, and road design.
- Proficiency in civil engineering and hydraulic modeling software suites (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, SWMM, WaterGEMS, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, or EPANET).
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
