JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER ((Eco-Bricks / Construction Applications))

Job Summary

The Cadet Engineer – Sales-Oriented Track supports both technical project execution and client-facing activities within construction projects. The role assists in site monitoring, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and coordination with project teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery. It also involves handling basic client inquiries, preparing quotations and proposals, and participating in meetings to support sales and business development efforts. This position is designed as a development pathway toward becoming a fully capable Cadet Engineer with both strong technical and client management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Client Support Responsibilities

  • Assist in handling client inquiries regarding construction services, project requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Support preparation of quotations, proposals, and cost estimates for client presentation.
  • Conduct initial client coordination and follow-ups under guidance from senior engineers or sales leads.
  • Help identify potential project opportunities through site exposure, referrals, and client interactions.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project briefings.
  • Build understanding of client requirements and translate them into technical project inputs.

Coordination and Project Assistance

  • Coordinate with procurement, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure availability of materials and requirements.
  • Assist in tracking project timelines, deliverables, and milestone completion.
  • Maintain organized records of project documents, plans, and client communications.
  • Support in resolving minor site or coordination issues as directed by senior staff.

Professional Development (Cadet Engineer Growth Path)

  • Undergo structured training in civil engineering design, site supervision, and project management.
  • Learn estimation, bidding processes, and construction costing.
  • Develop communication and negotiation skills for client engagement.
  • Gradually take on independent handling of smaller site tasks and client accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not required
  • Knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and engineering standards
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices or green building concepts is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus

Working Conditions
