The ROLE
As aCivil Engineer, you'll be part of a dedicated offshore team working with our Melbourne-based client, a specialist in road construction and infrastructure.
You'll play a key role in the design, analysis, and coordination of civil works projects. Helping ensure every road, drainage, and structural element meets engineering and safety standards.
Your work will blend technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration, supporting the client's onshore engineers to deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes on time and within budget.
What YOU'LL DO
- Support planning, design, and documentation of road and civil infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical reports, and cost estimates.
- Analyse survey data, design specifications, and local site conditions.
- Collaborate with the client's engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Ensure all designs align with Australian Standards, VicRoads specifications, and environmental regulations.
- Use CAD and Civil 3D software to prepare and revise design documentation.
- Provide detailed calculations and assist with project modelling and drainage design.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
What WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years experience in civil design, road, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency inAutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Construction One and MS Office.
- Knowledge of Australian road-design standards and construction methodologies.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Clear communicator who can collaborate effectively with remote teams.
- Committed to quality, safety, and sustainability in engineering practice.
PREFERRED:
- Licensed Civil Engineer (Philippines) or eligibility for professional registration.
- Experience with stormwater, pavement, or traffic engineering.
- Familiarity with local council or VicRoads documentation processes.
