Your impact
- Produce geometric designs for Jacobs roads, highways, and civil projects, ensuring compliance with standards and quality expectations.
- Work independently or collaboratively on major and medium-scale projects, supporting the engineering team with design options and solutions.
- Review design outputs from road designers and contribute to consistent application of OpenRoads and design standards.
- Develop full 3D road design models and federated BIM models using OpenRoads, while troubleshooting and upskilling the design team.
- Participate in team, project, and client meetings, providing technical input and support as needed.
- Assist Sales team with tenders and proposals by defining scope, deliverables, and estimating effort for Roads & Highways opportunities.
Here's what you'll need
- Proficient in OpenRoads with strong geometric design experience and CAD/modeling expertise.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Navisworks, and knowledgeable in data transfer between key software packages.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with resilience to handle feedback and ability to work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and patient, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Sound understanding of engineering design principles and BIM modeling processes.
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent drafting technology diploma.
