Cinema Supervisor

Job Summary

The Cinema Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cinema, ensuring smooth movie screenings, excellent guest experience, efficient team performance, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily cinema operations, including opening/closing, screenings, lobby, theaters, and guest areas.
  • Lead and monitor cinema staff, including scheduling, deployment, attendance, coaching, and performance.
  • Ensure timely and smooth movie screenings, including proper theater preparation and showtime execution.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promptly address guest concerns, complaints, and special requests.
  • Monitor ticketing, concessions, merchandise, and other cinema transactions to ensure accuracy and proper controls.
  • Conduct regular inspections of theaters, restrooms, lobby, equipment, and other facilities to maintain cleanliness and readiness.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, security, mall operations, and other support teams to resolve operational concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, emergency protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of concession items and operational supplies.
  • Prepare daily operational reports covering attendance, sales, incidents, staffing, and other relevant metrics.
  • Assist in implementing promotions, events, premieres, and other cinema or mall activities.
  • Handle operational incidents and escalate major concerns to the Cinema Manager or appropriate department.
  • Support training, onboarding, and development of cinema personnel.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in cinema, retail, hospitality, entertainment, or other customer-facing operations, with supervisory experience.
  • Strong people management and customer service skills.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
  • Proficient in basic MS Office applications and operational reporting.
