China Supplier Sourcing and Procurement Coordinator

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive China Supplier Sourcing and Procurement Coordinator to support our Australian construction client in sourcing materials and coordinating with suppliers in China. The successful candidate will handle supplier communications through WeChat, request and compare quotations, assist with purchase orders, and provide general administrative support to the procurement team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and communicate with existing and potential suppliers and manufacturers in China through WeChat and other communication channels.
• Request, collect, and compare supplier quotations, pricing, product specifications, and lead times.
• Assist in sourcing construction materials, products, and other project requirements.
• Prepare and monitor purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, production schedules, and delivery status.
• Coordinate with the Australian team regarding procurement requirements and supplier updates.
• Maintain supplier databases, quotation records, and procurement trackers.
• Perform general administrative and documentation tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• At least 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supplier coordination.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Familiarity with WeChat and online supplier sourcing platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other basic office applications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to compare quotations, maintain records, and manage multiple purchasing requirements.
• Experience supporting construction, building materials, or Australian-based clients is an advantage.
• Mandarin or Chinese language proficiency is a strong advantage but not required.
