Years of Work Experience:
10-15 years of experience working in a bank technology group, with several years of experience in a senior management role focusing on retail banking
Educational Attainment /
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management,
Required Course(if applicable): Business Administration or related fields an MBA or other advanced degrees in business administration.
Required/Preferred Certification/Professional License(if applicable):
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- COBIT (Control Objectives for Information Technology)
- ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
Field of Specialization (if applicable):
- Strong leadership and management skills The individual in this role should have experience leading teams and managing projects and be able to effectively communicate their vision to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Business acumen: have a strong understanding of the bank&aposs retail business operations, including banking products, channels, and customer service. They should also be able to speak the language of the bank&aposs business leaders and be able to explain complex technical concepts in a way that is easy for non-technical people to understand.
- Strong analytical skills: able to evaluate complex information and make strategic decisions based on data.
- Strong communication skills: able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management, staff, and external partners.
- Strong relationship management skills: able to develop and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders within the bank&aposs retail business unit, including business leaders, IT leaders, and other key partners.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies: have a good understanding of project management methodologies and be able to apply them effectively to deliver IT projects in line with business objectives.
- Understanding of IT governance frameworks: have a good understanding of IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, ITIL, and TOGAF, and be able to apply them effectively to ensure IT projects align with the bank&aposs overall governance policies.
