JOB ACCOUNTABILITY
The Chief Security Officer is responsible for the overall security and safety of the Bank. He/She leads the development and implementation of security strategies, ensuring compliance with BSP and other government regulations, and safeguarding employees, customers, and bank assets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, reviews, and improves security and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Implements and manages the Bank's physical security and safety programs.
- Ensures alignment of security strategies with Bank and parent company standards; collaborates with stakeholders.
- Serves as advisor to leadership on security and safety matters.
- Manages and controls the security and safety budget in coordination with Operations.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees through enforcement of policies.
- Ensures compliance with BSP and other regulatory security requirements.
- Conducts security awareness programs for employees.
- Coordinates with BSP, PNP, and other law enforcement agencies on crime prevention and incident response.
- Reviews performance and cost-effectiveness of security agencies and manages contracts/billing.
- Ensures branch safety standards, including daily inspection of fire safety equipment.
- Acts as liaison during security incidents such as robberies and emergencies.
- Develops and implements emergency response and security training programs.
- Prepares and executes emergency response plans with the Business Continuity Officer.
- Investigates security incidents and supports legal action and prosecution when necessary.
- Manages security systems and devices in compliance with BSP MORB requirements.
- Monitors emerging security risks and recommends preventive controls.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Head.
