Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Officer based in Manila. The Chief Officer will be responsible for supervising and managing all onboard operations, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the vessel. Key responsibilities include monitoring cargo handling and storage, managing the ship's crew, ensuring compliance with maritime safety regulations, and collaborating closely with the Captain to ensure smooth navigation and operations. The Chief Officer will also oversee the maintenance of shipboard equipment and ensure proper documentation for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in ship operations, including cargo handling, navigation, and crew management
• Advanced knowledge of maritime safety regulations and compliance standards
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and coordinate onboard teams effectively
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols efficiently
• Relevant certifications and licenses as required by international maritime authorities
• Proficiency in maritime documentation and report preparation
• Prior experience aboard tankers, container ships, or bulk carriers is an advantage
• Familiarity with international and local maritime laws and best practices
