Job Description

Company introduction:

A private multidisciplinary clinic in the Republic of Tajikistan, Dushanbe International Hospital, which is being established by Avicenna Memorial Health LLC.

The total area of the facility is nearly 24,000 square meters. The clinic will have 163 beds, 8 operating rooms, and will be equipped with its own laboratory and radiology department.

Work location: Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

Position Summary

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services within the hospital. The CNO is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, nursing practice, patient safety, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational efficiency. The position plays a critical role in establishing a culture of clinical excellence, professional accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all nursing departments and nursing personnel.

• Develop and implement nursing strategies, policies, procedures, and standards.

• Ensure compliance with national healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and hospital policies.

• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based nursing practices.

• Monitor nursing performance indicators and implement corrective actions when required.

• Develop staffing plans and workforce strategies to ensure adequate nursing coverage.

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring, and retention of nursing staff.

• Manage nursing budgets, resource allocation, and operational costs.

• Collaborate with physicians, department heads, and executive leadership to improve clinical outcomes.

• Oversee infection prevention, medication safety, and clinical risk management initiatives.

• Participate in strategic planning, hospital development projects, and accreditation activities.

• Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required).

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or related field (preferred).

• Valid nursing license in accordance with local regulations.

• Additional certifications in leadership, quality, patient safety, or healthcare management are advantageous.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive nursing experience in an acute care hospital.

• Minimum 5 years of senior nursing leadership experience (Director of Nursing, Deputy CNO, Nursing Manager, or equivalent).

• Experience in hospital accreditation programs and quality management systems.

• Proven track record in leading large multidisciplinary nursing teams.
