Our client is a leading multinational medical technology organization with a significant footprint across Asia Pacific.

To support this evolution, the company is seeking an experienced Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to lead its legal function across Asia Pacific and serve as a key advisor to the regional executive leadership team.

Responsibilities for this Chief Legal Officer - Medical Device/Pharma role

• Lead the APAC legal function and provide strategic legal counsel to senior management.
• Advise on commercial contracts, strategic partnerships, distribution arrangements, and corporate transactions.
• Oversee corporate governance, board support, and entity management across the region.
• Provide guidance on healthcare, medical device, regulatory, privacy, competition, and compliance matters.
• Manage legal risks, investigations, disputes, and external counsel relationships.
• Support regional business expansion, transformation initiatives, and cross-border projects.
• Develop and implement legal policies, processes, and governance frameworks.

Requirements for this Chief Legal Officer - Medical Device/Pharma role

• 10-15 years PQE with in-house legal experience.
• Strong background in commercial, corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Experience within healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
• Proven ability to advise senior executives and operate as a strategic business partner.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
