Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Real Estate & Capital Strategy

Overview

A high-growth, Southeast Asia-focused organization is seeking a seasoned finance executive to lead financial strategy, capital formation, and governance across a rapidly scaling platform.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a dual role—overseeing core finance functions (FP&A, treasury, risk, and reporting) while driving capital strategy, investment structuring, and institutional partnerships. The position sits at the intersection of finance, real estate, and strategic growth, with a strong focus on enabling expansion through efficient capital deployment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Governance

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling across key business segments
  • Oversee treasury, liquidity, and enterprise risk management across markets
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks
  • Manage audits, consolidation, and financial reporting across multiple entities

2. Capital Structuring & Investment Vehicles

  • Design and launch investment structures (e.g., funds, credit facilities, structured products)
  • Lead structuring and execution of financing solutions including credit lines and blended capital platforms
  • Ensure alignment of capital deployment with growth strategy and portfolio performance

3. Fundraising & Capital Strategy

  • Define long-term capital strategy alongside executive leadership
  • Lead fundraising initiatives across institutional investors, private capital, and alternative funding sources
  • Manage end-to-end fundraising processes including due diligence, structuring, and closing

4. Investor Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Own relationships with institutional investors and capital partners
  • Deliver structured reporting and performance updates
  • Manage capital calls, distributions, and investor communications
  • Present financial performance and updates at Board level

5. Strategic Partnerships & Market Positioning

  • Develop and negotiate strategic partnerships and joint ventures
  • Engage with industry stakeholders and represent the company in key forums
  • Monitor market trends and adjust capital and expansion strategies accordingly

6. Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build and lead high-performing teams across finance, capital markets, and partnerships
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams to support execution of strategic initiatives
  • Support regional expansion through appropriate financial structures and governance frameworks

Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with CFO-level exposure in high-growth environments
  • Strong track record in capital raising, fund structuring, and complex financing transactions
  • Deep expertise in financial reporting, treasury, risk, and multi-entity operations
  • Experience engaging with institutional investors and managing investment lifecycles
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
  • Background in real estate, fintech, or capital-intensive industries is highly preferred
  • CPA or equivalent required; advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus
