Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's objectives.
- Monitor the company's financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Financial Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Present financial reports to the CEO, board of directors, and shareholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and manage financial risks, including credit, market, and liquidity risks.
- Implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect company assets.
- Oversee the company's insurance policies and risk mitigation strategies.
- Treasury and Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the company's liquidity and cash flow to ensure operational efficiency.
- Oversee capital investments, financing strategies, and debt management.
- Develop relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.
- Operational and Strategic Leadership:
- Work with other executives to drive the company's growth strategy.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Play a key role in mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws (e.g., tax, audit, etc.).
- Oversee internal controls and audit processes.
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead the finance and accounting teams, ensuring proper training and development.
- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. An MBA or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, CFA) is often preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in senior finance or accounting roles, with a proven track record of leadership in a finance function.
