Qualifications:

Educational Background: Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical course

Professional License: Licensed Mechanical Engineer is an advantage

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance (preferably in construction, dry earth movement, ground improvement, or PVD projects)
  • At least 2–3 years of supervisory experience leading mechanics and technicians

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PVD installation rigs, including hydraulic systems, diesel engines, winches, masts, mandrels, and other mechanical components
  • Hydraulic and mechanical diagnostics, equipment inspections, maintenance planning, spare parts management, and maintenance documentation
  • Implementation of preventive maintenance programs and occupational health and safety standards

Location Requirement: Must be willing to work full-time on-site at Taliptip, Bulakan Bulacan

Job Summary:

  • The Chief Engineer (PVD Installation) oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational availability of heavy equipment and PVD installation rigs. This role provides technical leadership to mechanics and technicians, manages preventive maintenance programs, and ensures all equipment operates reliably and safely in compliance with project requirements and occupational health and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of mechanics and technicians in daily maintenance and repair activities.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for heavy equipment and specialized PVD rigs.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, winches, masts, mandrels, and other mechanical assets.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Manage inventory, spare parts planning, and maintenance documentation/records.
