Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for all culinary positions for deployment to luxury cruise ships.
- Conduct culinary interviews, portfolio evaluations, and skills assessments, including coordination of trade test when required.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber culinary professionals across multiple specialties.
- Maintain close coordination with culinary assessors, principal partners, and shipboard management teams to align recruitment efforts with specific galley requirements.
- Ensure all recruited candidates meet USPH, HACCP, and cruise line sanitation and safety standards.
- Represent MSM at culinary job fairs, trade shows, and assessment centers, promoting the company as a trusted crew solutions partner in luxury cruising.
- Collaborate with medical, visa, and deployment units to ensure compliance with all pre-deployment requirements.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and alignment with company standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, preferably a major in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred.
- A culinary training certificate from an accredited culinary institution is a strong advantage.
- USPH certification is required.
- HACCP certification is preferred.
Industry Experience
- With a minimum of 3 years work experience onboard cruise ships or in premium fine-dining establishments is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of culinary operations and luxury dining standards.
- Talent acquisition background is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record in sourcing and assessing top-tier culinary professionals (e.g., Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Chef de Partie).
- Proficient in evaluating culinary portfolios, tasting presentations, and leadership competencies.
- Strong interviewing and interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of culinary terminology, international cuisines, and food safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on quality and compliance.
