Overall Function: This distributor-focused, single-contributor role—driven by Kemin's Compelled by Curiosity—is responsible for delivering sustainable sales growth across Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Philippines, and Taiwan. The role operates on a digital-first, low-travel model, combining a strong hunter mindset with disciplined execution to build and scale distributor networks. Success is achieved through structured remote management, data-driven decision-making, and consistent performance control, with travel kept to a minimum (<20%).

Responsibilities

Distributor Management & Development

  • Run the business through distributors with full ownership and accountability for results
  • Manage performance via digital discipline — scorecards, CRM (NEXA), dashboards, and structured virtual reviews are not optional
  • Maintain a tight operating rhythm (weekly/monthly cadence calls, pipeline reviews, KPI tracking) to ensure zero surprises
  • Drive control and visibility from the office, minimizing reliance on travel (<20%) Build, train, and motivate distributors remotely through consistent coaching and clear targets
  • Deliver growth, retention, and margin discipline through structured execution—not ad hoc effort

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute distributor plans to achieve stretched budget
  • Drive growth through strategic account development and new business acquisition
  • Maintain a robust, data-driven pipeline with strong conversion discipline

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends through continuous market engagement and data insights
  • Translate insights into clear commercial actions and channel strategies

New Product Commercialization

  • Support successful product launches through coordinated digital and customer engagement plans
  • Equip distributors with clear value propositions, training, and application knowledge

Operational Excellence

  • Drive full adoption of CRM (NEXA) and digital tools for pipeline, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Ensure disciplined reporting, follow-up, and data accuracy
  • Manage scorecards

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for strategic customers and distributor leaders
  • Maintain high levels of satisfaction through proactive, structured engagement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with technical, marketing, regulatory, R&D, quality and supply teams through digital collaboration platforms

Qualifications

  • A degree in Food Science, Engineering, or technical field.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to communicate with English- and Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a digital-first, low-travel sales model
  • Able to manage performance remotely through data, structure, and accountability
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence across diverse markets

Decision Making & Freedom to Act: This position reports to the Sales Director, Kemin Food Technologies Asia. It is a hands-on position with significant autonomy, breadth, and flexibility to exceed expectations.

Working Conditions: The position will operate remotely/in-person and is expected to spend <20% travelling regionally. The position is considered 40 hours per week and requires tremendous flexibility as a customer-facing role.
