Job Description

ASCENTPRO is looking for a Senior Accounting Associate with the following core competencies:

  • Has familiarity with trading systems or fund management softwares and Bloomberg Terminal.
  • Working knowledge on regulatory and other financial standards and requirements.

Role Specifications (Skills And Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
  • Prior work experience in fund accounting in a brokerage/mutual fund firm is an added advantage.
  • With at least three to four years working knowledge in accounting principles
  • and practices especially in banking and financial services industries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Other Requirements

  • Willing to report onsite from Mon to Fri (day shift).
  • On call on Sat (if and only required).
  • Non-CPA is accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares, compiles and reviews financial information, journal entries and supporting documents.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial forms, reports, budgets and financial statements.
  • Assists in tax filings, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll processing.
  • Ensures company's compliance with the national and local authorities regulations and requirements.
  • Handles correspondence with clients relevant to accounting matters.
  • Manages financial accounting of the assigned funds and investment management accounts.
  • Coordinates with fund administrators for accounting and reporting affairs.
  • Analyzes performance of funds as per agreed schedule.
  • Documents processes and procedures in accordance with the regulatory requirements, company policies and accounting principles.
  • Works closely with different teams to develop and execute best practices in the area of accounting and fund management.
  • Prepares and submits reports for PSE, BSP, SEC to ensure regulatory compliance
