Job Description

Accounting Process Improvement Lead (CPA)

Full-Time | On-Site | Muntinlupa City

Fil-Pacific Apparel Group is one of the Philippines leading apparel companies, generating more than US$100 million in annual revenue across nationwide retail and e-commerce operations. Our portfolio includes internationally recognized brands such as Lee, Wrangler, U.S. Polo Assn., Tribal, JAG, J&G, and Zoo York.

We are looking for a proactive CPA to help us modernize and streamline our accounting operations. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role working directly with the company owner, with minimal organizational red tape between identifying a problem and implementing a solution.

This is not a traditional bookkeeping or purely compliance-focused position. You will examine how our accounting work is currently performed, identify repetitive or inefficient processes, and translate accounting needs into practical system improvements and automations.

You will partner directly with the company owner, who will lead the software implementation. Your role is to provide the accounting expertise, process knowledge, documentation, and testing needed to ensure that the solutions we build are accurate, practical, and genuinely useful to the team. Strong recommendations can move quickly from observation to implementation, giving you a direct and measurable impact on how the company operates.

What You'll Do
  • Review existing accounting workflows from end to end and understand how work is actually performed
  • Proactively identify repetitive procedures, manual work, bottlenecks, duplicated effort, and areas prone to delay or error
  • Prioritize processes that would benefit most from automation, standardization, or redesign
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to the company owner
  • Clearly explain accounting requirements, business rules, exceptions, controls, and desired outputs
  • Map current and proposed workflows and help define functional requirements for new tools and process improvements
  • Create or improve SOPs, process documentation, checklists, and control procedures where these are missing or outdated
  • Prepare sample scenarios, expected results, and reconciliation methods for testing
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and verify that new solutions produce accurate accounting results
  • Work with the accounting team to gather feedback, resolve issues, and refine new workflows
  • Ensure that streamlined processes retain proper approvals, audit trails, segregation of duties, and internal controls
  • Monitor implemented improvements and proactively recommend further refinements

What We're Looking For
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Strong understanding of accounting operations, reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting workflows
  • Experience reviewing, documenting, or improving accounting processes
  • Able to quickly understand unfamiliar procedures and identify their underlying accounting logic
  • Naturally proactive and analytical—you notice inefficiencies and propose solutions without waiting for step-by-step instructions
  • Comfortable working directly with the company owner in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment
  • Able to explain complex accounting requirements clearly to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders
  • Strong documentation and SOP-writing skills
  • Detail-oriented and methodical when testing calculations, workflows, reports, and system outputs
  • Comfortable taking ownership and moving projects forward with minimal bureaucracy
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills

Advantageous Experience
  • Accounting systems implementation, process improvement, internal audit, finance transformation, or user acceptance testing
  • Retail, apparel, inventory, distribution, or other high-volume transaction environments
  • ERP, POS, inventory, e-commerce, or marketplace reconciliation processes
  • Exposure to automation tools, data workflows, or software development projects—coding is not required

What Success Looks Like

You will help turn undocumented, repetitive, and person-dependent accounting procedures into clear, controlled, and scalable workflows. Your work should reduce manual effort, shorten processing time, improve accuracy, and make the accounting team's day-to-day operations easier to manage.

  • Because you will work directly with the company owner, your recommendations will not disappear into layers of approval. You will have the opportunity to see strong ideas implemented quickly and to make a visible, company-wide impact.
