The Role
We're looking for a self-motivated Accountant based in the Philippines to join us full-time. You'll be at the heart of our accounting team supporting the delivery of clear, powerful financial insights to charity CEOs and trustees. You'll perform technical accounting, own month end close procedures, optimise chart of account structures, drive efficiencies through embedding automation opportunities and help shape financial stories that drive decisions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Confidently perform bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate journal postings and timely record keeping for audit purposes.
- Review Xero and QuickBooks files to optimise chart of accounts structures, embed automated third party data and bank feeds, and set up transaction categorisation rules.
- Execute month-end close procedures, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
- Perform analytical review procedures to identify financial trends.
- Perform bookkeeping clean ups and propose optimal chart of account structures with a deep contextual understanding of the client and their financial reporting needs.
- Support finance analysts with preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring all underlying financial data is accurately presented.
- Identify key financial metrics and optimise the chart of accounts accordingly to unlock financial visibility thereby improving client engagement.
- Work closely with other team members to continuously improve processes and identify efficiencies.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CPA / ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
- A degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Has strong experience working with Xero and QuickBooks - with certifications.
- Has at least 2-3 years of post qualified experience with exposure to FRS 102 or UK charity SORP accounting standards.
- Is confident preparing management accounts, not just processing transactions.
- Speaks fluent English, communicates clearly and can explain financial concepts easily.
- Is self-motivated and comfortable working remotely while managing multiple clients.
- Takes ownership, loves detail, is solutions focused and gets things done.
- Bonus if you've worked with charities or non-profits before.
