Job Title: Certified Payroll Reporting (CPR) Specialist
Rate: TBD
Work Type:
- Remote/WFH
- Part-time (Approximately 16 hours per week (2 days/week) for approximately 2 months to help clear the reporting backlog.)
Working Hours:
- Ongoing phase: Approximately 1 day per week for continued CPR reporting and special projects.
- Flexible schedule: within 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST.
- Preference: for back-to-back working days (such as Thursday and Friday) to maximize productivity and maintain workflow continuity.

JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-sufficient Certified Payroll Reporting (CPR) Specialist to support our payroll team with Certified Payroll Reports for government, city, and municipal construction projects.
The primary focus of this role is to help clear a current reporting backlog through accurate and timely data entry. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with detailed payroll and job information, can navigate multiple reporting systems, and is able to work independently while communicating effectively with the team when clarification is needed.
JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and enter data for Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) accurately and efficiently.
- Review and track job-specific information, including employee hours, job numbers, and other required payroll details.
- Enter and submit information through multiple external reporting websites.
- Research and locate required information needed to complete CPRs.
- Maintain accurate and organized records to support payroll reporting requirements.
- Review entries for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Work closely with the payroll team to address missing information or discrepancies.
- Assist with ongoing CPR reporting and other related payroll projects as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling payroll and employee information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent data entry and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage repetitive, detail-heavy tasks.
- Comfortable working with multiple websites, systems, and online reporting platforms.
- Tech-savvy and able to use a VPN to access US-restricted websites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify missing information, research answers, and ask questions when necessary.
- Reliable and able to meet agreed working hours and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Certified Payroll Reporting (CPR).
- Experience with construction payroll.
- Experience working with government, city, or municipal project reporting.
- Payroll, accounting, or administrative experience involving detailed data entry.
Team & Support
The CPR Specialist will work alongside the payroll team and will have support from experienced team members, including the Controller, AR, and AP/Payroll Specialist. Training and guidance will be provided as needed, but the successful candidate should be comfortable working independently once processes are established.
