Job Description

Position Overview:

  • Organizes work of assigned cell in order to provide optimal utilization of production capacity, high quality products and maintaining safety in the work cell. Owns 24/7 Safety, Quality, Delivery & Productivity area results. Responsible for building team capability through active coaching of the cell line pair leader and definition of training requirements of the line team.
  • Participates in key planned activities to role model and coach teams. Responsible for driving/leading improvement plans for area. Being a role-model of high standard for the cell team. Manage and inspire the cell team's performance and career and drive their retention and commitment. When there is a gap in team's results and capability, hold your team leaders accountable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safety, quality, production results and compliance within assigned cell and ensure that required volume will be delivered with the planned and budgeted headcount.
  • Performs daily audits of the machine functioning status, systems and management principles and orders / implements corrective actions.
  • Ensure volumes are produced in full in a timely manner against production plan and consistently provide accurate inventories in the area by Process Order reconciliation and closure to avoid inventory cost and eliminate loss.
  • Avoid incidents by instigating the zero quality incidents mentality and culture in the area by constantly reiterating this during toolbox meeting ensuring that everyone in the team understands that quality is an utmost priority.
  • Prevents and avoids incidents by ensuring zero safety incidents mentality and culture in the area by cascading all safety communications from EHS.
  • Collaborates well with Process Lead and Maintenance Lead to balance resources in order to achieve Make Pack department operational goals as well as building high performing team by providing the necessary trainings.
  • Perform any other tasks given by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions
  • Understand health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.
  • Develop their competency to do the work healthy and safely, participate in health and safety training and receive appropriate health and safety knowledge and required qualifications, observe and follow safety signs, posters, warning signals, and written directions and instructions
  • Know Legal and JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards and comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures.
  • Always demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor and eliminate them within their authority and ability to do so.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated success in driving operational performance and team results.
  • Experience leading high-performing production teams within multinational FMCG, tobacco, or similarly structured manufacturing organizations.
  • Hands-on experience working within structured manufacturing systems and continuous improvement frameworks, with exposure to Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and pillar-based ways of working considered highly valuable.
  • Strong understanding of Daily Management Systems (DMS), Centerline/CIL practices, Defect Handling, and other reliability-focused methodologies that support sustainable operational results.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and operational excellence principles.
  • Proven people leadership capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, conflict resolution, and talent development.
  • Experience applying Integrated Production System (IPS), Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or comparable methodologies to improve productivity, quality, and equipment performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, problem-solving, and performance ownership at the shopfloor level.
  • Strong administrative, planning, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage teams across different levels of the organization.
  • Adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
