Your Mission: As Category Manager for Fresh and Produce, you'll be the champion of our fresh food offerings. You'll ensure O!Save customers get the highest quality fruits, vegetables, and perishable goods at unbeatable prices.
What You'll Do:
- Source fresh produce from reliable farmers and suppliers, building relationships that ensure consistent quality while negotiating prices that benefit our customers
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that balance cost savings, quality standards, and consistent supply
- Work closely with store operations to optimize product display, rotation, and staff training on handling perishable goods
- Analyze sales data and market trends to adjust your product mix and pricing strategy to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
What You'll Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in fresh produce procurement, category management, or related role in retail or food service
- Knowledge of Philippine agricultural seasons, produce varieties, and supply chain management for perishable goods
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and quality control for fresh products
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build lasting relationships with suppliers
- Data-driven decision-making skills with attention to both quality and cost factors
- Willingness to visit farms, markets, and distribution centers to inspect products firsthand
- Flexibility to work in our Distribution Center in Taytay Rizal and travel to supplier locations when needed
