Category Buyer

Client: An International Retail Company

-Schedule: Daily Onsite (Monday-Friday) Compressed work week

-Location: Taytay Rizal (Distribution Center)

-Individual Contributor

-Level: Can be Manager or Buyer level depending on the experience

Responsibilities:

-At least a Bachelor's degree

-He/She will own end-to-end purchasing and product development for your category

-He/She will source suppliers, negotiate terms, develop specifications and launch O!Save private label products

-He/She will build and manage a targeted assortment aligned with customer needs and hard discount purchasing principles

-He/She will negotiate high-impact supply agreements and cultivate vendor partnerships across local and international supplier networks

Qualifications:

-Must have 5-10 years of experience in retail purchasing, or food related buying

-He/She Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization

-Has strong analytical skills to assess product performance and make data-driven purchasing decisions

-Willingness to visit plants and production facilities to ensure quality standards

-Flexibility to work in our Distribution Center in Taytay Rizal, Philippines and travel to supplier locations when needed
