Industry background
- F&B, food service, or B2B distribution
- Has handled and led a consumer or trade brand end-to-end
- Demonstrated sales growth track record on that brand ideally against larger or more established players
Category experience in flavored syrups, dairy, oat milk, or adjacent F&B ingredients is a strong plus
A fast-growing consumer goods company is seeking an experienced Category & Brand Manager to lead and grow a food and beverage portfolio. This is a hands-on commercial leadership role with full ownership of business performance—not a marketing support position
.The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with strategic thinking and execution. You'll be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing profitability, expanding distribution channels, and leading go-to-market initiatives across multiple customer segments.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Commercial Performance
- Own the full P&L for the assigned product category, including revenue, gross margin, and overall profitability.
- Develop and execute pricing strategies across retail, wholesale, and food service channels.
- Monitor category performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, margins, and market share.
- Prepare regular business reviews and performance reports for senior leadership.
Channel & Distribution Development
- Build, expand, and manage a network of resellers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Lead partner recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and performance management.
- Strengthen relationships with key accounts across food service, hospitality, and retail sectors.
Product & Category Growth
- Identify market opportunities, category gaps, and product expansion initiatives.
- Recommend and launch new SKUs based on customer needs, market trends, and commercial potential.
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new and existing products.
Demand Planning & Operations Coordination
- Drive demand forecasting and collaborate closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability.
- Balance growth objectives with inventory efficiency and working capital targets.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a small commercial team.
- Set performance targets, conduct pipeline reviews, and drive accountability for results.Foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Category Management, Brand Management, Business Development, or a senior commercial role.
- Demonstrated success growing a product line, brand, or category in a competitive market.
- Experience building, managing, or scaling reseller, distributor, or channel partner networks.
- Background in FMCG, food & beverage, food service, or B2B distribution.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, margin management, forecasting, and P&L ownership.
- Proven experience leading and developing sales or commercial teams.
- Customer-facing and field-oriented, with a preference for spending time in market and with customers.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales management tools.
