About The Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Catalog Specialist to create item setups, maintain catalog and great looking product detail pages, and fix catalog issues across Amazon, Walmart and Target marketplaces. This position reports to the Merchandising & Operations Manager and will work to support our Merchandising & Operations specialists across each platform.
The Catalog Specialist is an expert with Amazon catalog management and item setup/maintenance. They may or may not have experience also working on Walmart and Target. They are responsible for creating and uploading item setup bulk feed files, ensuring changes go through and fixing listing issues with persistence and detail. It is a vital role that lays the foundational catalog work for the rest of the team and ensures the brand has best in class product listings.
Responsibilities
- Item setups / uploads across Amazon, Walmart, and Target
- Catalog and item maintenance / update requests to optimize or add new copy (provided by the Merch & Ops team)
- Fixing broken listings, variations, or suppressed listings
- Following up to be sure uploads are successful post-upload, and if not, logging cases to get all remaining changes pushed through
- Variation management – know how to create new variations and edit existing
- Image uploads
- Maintaining great item setup records internally
- Communicating with team effectively
- Be an internal resource for the Merch & Ops team for item setup troubleshooting
- Finding ways to streamline this work if they find a better, faster way to do these tasks and share with the team
- May be asked to conduct merchandising audits and then execute necessary item updates
- May be asked to help investigate downed listings and troubleshoot

- A detail-oriented executor with strong experience in Amazon catalog and listing management, including bulk and manual uploads
- A problem-solver who can troubleshoot listing issues with a structured approach (research, prioritization, and clear communication)
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Passionate about delivering best-in-class eCommerce merchandising and maintaining high catalog standards

Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- 2+ years of direct work / executional experience setting up, maintaining, and fixing items on Amazon, start to finish
- Strong attention to detail, ability self-time manage, writing and communication skills a must
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience managing own tasks and creating new processes to streamline work is essential
- Accountability and the ability to build trust is a must. Mistakes can happen, not being accountable to them cannot. Building trust is paramount for this role and for our company's culture
- Experience and success working from home as part of a virtual, remote culture. This includes the right space to be able to conduct the role, confidence in technology troubleshooting, and the ability to manage work and life in a fully remote position
- Collaborate with a high desire to support and please your team
- Must have a dedicated laptop that can run complex excel documents
- Must have experience managing large Amazon catalogs (specifically thousands of SKUs) across multiple clients.
- Proactive Communication, specifically the ability to provide detailed progress reports and flag potential problems early.
- Ability to handle bulk catalog tasks efficiently and navigate complex Amazon backend structures.
